Greetings from Pohnpei!

This has been an exciting week for us! As many of you are aware, the roofing work at Micronesia Bible College is underway. Bill was busy with one of our students getting the scaffolding ready and fell about 3-4 feet landing on his back. Thankfully, no broken bones, but he has been in quite a bit of pain, but is improving. We are grateful for all those who have been praying. Since this has happened he has not been able to lay down at all, so sleeps sitting up (says he feels like he is trying to sleep in an airplane seat - not that comfortable even without pain). This happened on Monday morning.

On Tuesday, we saw the news that there had been an earthquake in New Zealand. Our oldest daughter, Kristi was in NZ at the time on the south island and we could not contact her as most of the communications were disrupted. We did finally hear from her on Wednesday evening and she was fine and enjoying her much needed vacation with a friend. We thank God for keeping her safety!

We lost our power in our small area of town for 24 hours. This is not too unusual (sometimes island-wide, but only for a short duration - not for a day). The local utility company was out several times to check out the transformer and replace fuses, but gave up as nothing seemed to work. It is warm here living so close to the equator, but inside our home it was close to 90 degrees and not much breeze. We are thankful that it has now been restored and Evangelism class will meet this evening at Micronesia Bible College. We're praying that this will be a "lasting" fix.

We have a great group of students this semester about 15 all total (3 new to the college). The classes being taught are: New Testament Survey, Methods of Bible Study, Ministerial Ethics, English, Acts and Evangelism.

Thank you for all your prayer and support!

Matthew 22:34-40 "Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"
