Employment Support Group: Letter to Calvary's Congregation
April 6, 2009
Subject: Employment Support Group (ESG)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Please see the attached announcement concerning our “ESG” Ministry. Calvary family will be hosting ESG weekly starting on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009, at 8:00-9:30 AM.
Our objective is to meet the spiritual, practical and emotional needs of those seeking employment. As we’ve all seen in the national and local economic reports, unemployment is heading toward record highs and recovery is going to be a long process.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” The Lord has not forgotten his people and He is the ultimate source for eternal life.
Your help is needed and if you can give a few hours of your time would be greatly appreciated. Here is our “Volunteer Wanted” list…
- Prayer Team
- Serve as an industry or company contact
- Mentor participants
- Assist with administrative needs…type resumes, letters, etc.
- Help with meeting logistics. Meet and greet participants
- Provide job leads from various companies…search employment web-sites
- Help lead the ministry
- Set up coffee and refreshments…make home baked goods
- Prepare advertisement for newspaper, radio, and various outside groups

Please invite a friend, neighbor or family member who is seeking employment.
Sincerely,
Leonard A Deane Jr.

Matthew 22:34-40 "Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"
