Please give my best regards to everyone there and God bless you. Yours truly, Mike M.

I will receive the official letter (email) this afternoon along with the welcome letter and new hire packet.  At this point I just have to get finger printed and get a drug test. The goal is for Friday, July 29th to be my first day. ... and benefits will start on Monday, August 1st (God is SO GOOD!!!) ESG has been encouraging to attend and to meet several new people. I will miss the Tuesday morning meetings. Let me know if there is any way that I can help with someone's job search! Thanks, Dwayne.

10/15/10: Len, your support, encouragement, and education (about seeking jobs not just by applications and resumes), I believe really made the difference in my successful job hunt. Gene, your weekly prayers supported us on our journey and helped us realize without God, Jesus and our religious beliefs we would be no where ('I can do all things thru God; who gives me strength'). Andy, your helpful tips, encouragement, and knowledge, taught me something every week. Marcy, the quiet provider of food and COFFEE for the body to strengthen us, thank you. But all of you; certainly are showing God your care for fellow man not just through word but also DEEDS!, Keep it Up!! Again THANK YOU!!!!! I will miss all faculty and my fellow students but must say I am glad to be working again. Yours, Margaret

10/13/10: Hi Len, Thanks for this, as well as all you do for people walking through transition. Your support, encouragement and kindness were great as I walked through this time of challenge. I have already recommended your group to several others as I have tried to pass on the encouragement I received during my 8 ½ month period. You were and continue to be a blessing in my life – and I praise the Lord for your ministry. Some of the other groups I attended may have been held at churches but offered no spiritual food as we walked through the wilderness. Thank you for balancing spiritual food with the support and encouragement we needed to find the right opportunities!
Blessings, Jim

9/20/10: Great news! Four more participants from our weekly Employment Support Group are starting new jobs this month!
We wish Shawn, Peggy L., Abigail and Mary C. the best with their new jobs!

9/20/10: "Len, something occurred to me the other day: You, Gene, Andy and Marcy are truly doing God's work. Every week you all welcome the dispirited and weary. You nourish us with wonderful food and with encouraging words and useful information. You welcome everyone - black, white, old, young, those with heavy accents, those who were owners, those who were cleaners, those who have been out of the workforce for years, those who don't know what they want to do. You truly welcome everyone. I loved it when Gene prayed and asked that God "sustain and strengthen" each of us, because that's just what we needed to hear as we left each week. I'm sure that's why we all felt energized when we left, and ready to start looking again. Thank you to each of you for the valuable service you are providing and especially to you, Len, for sharing your experiences and wisdom. I believe you and the others helped me on my own spiritual journey, and I'm grateful for that, too." Peggy L.

We wish Shawn, Peggy and Abigail the best with their new jobs!

9/6/10: "I want to take a moment to thank you and to report some good news. I will be starting a new job on Tuesday! Your advice about networking really paid off. After giving testimony at my church about small groups and how they have been a blessing to me in my journey as Christian I was approached and ultimately offered a job. Praise God! I also want to let you know that if there is anything I can do for you or your group in the future, just let me know. Thanks again and good luck in your ministry. You are truly doing God's work." Sean W (Graduate)

Matthew 22:34-40 "Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?' Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"
